Session 3: Releasing Pain and Forgiveness

REFLECTION QUESTIONS:

  1. What pain or offense have you been holding onto?
  2. How has unforgiveness affected your heart, mind, and relationships?
  3. Who do you need to forgive, and what steps will you take to release that burden?

DECLARATION OF TRUTH:

Say this out loud:
“I choose to forgive and release the pain I’ve been carrying. I refuse to let bitterness or unforgiveness hold me captive. I trust God to heal my heart, restore my peace, and handle every injustice. I am free from the chains of the past, and I step boldly into the abundant life Christ has for me. In Jesus’ name, amen!”

ACTION STEP:

Take 15 minutes this week to write a letter to the person you need to forgive. You don’t need to send it—this is for you. Pour out your heart, acknowledge the pain, and then write the words, “I forgive you.” As you do, pray and release the burden to God. Let Him take it from you.

REMEMBER:

Let me remind you: Forgiveness is your superpower. It’s not a sign of weakness—it’s the ultimate act of strength. When you forgive, you are declaring to the enemy that he has no hold over you. You’re walking in the victory Jesus already won for you.

Rise up, child of God. The chains are broken. The past is behind you. Your freedom starts now. Let’s keep moving forward together!
