Application: Three Steps to Serve Fear Its Eviction Notice
- Call Fear Out
First, identify that lying spirit by name—fear of failure, fear of rejection, fear of lack, you name it. Don’t sugarcoat it. Recognize it for what it is: a trespasser messing with your divine inheritance. - Confront It With Word & Authority
Crack open your Bible. Find verses like 2 Timothy 1:7 or Psalm 27:1 (“The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?”). Speak them out loud, driving home that your heart belongs to Jesus, not the devil’s intimidation. I’ve said for years, “Take the Word like medicine”—so take your daily dose of Scripture and see fear flee. - Do the Opposite of What Fear Tells You
Fear says hide; you show up. Fear says hush; you speak. Fear says quit; you press on. By acting against fear’s instructions, you slap it in the face. Every step of holy defiance shrinks fear’s hold and magnifies God’s power in your life.
Faith in Action: Seize Your Freedom
Challenge:
Write down one area where fear’s been dictating your moves—maybe public speaking, a new job opportunity, or confronting a personal conflict.
Next, list two or three Scriptures that address God’s promise for that exact issue. Meditate on them morning and evening.
Then do something bold this week. If fear says “Don’t do it,” that’s your clue to obey God immediately. Book that meeting, volunteer for that role, or pick up the phone to reconcile with that estranged friend.
